I don't advocate violence or cruelty towards Kindly Uncle Jerry, and I might even agree to some form of minimal security/house arrest incarceration if it's significantly cheaper than prison.
But pardoning him would send the wrong message about criminal deterrence.
@O-uknow -- There is no point to such a procedure if Mr. Sandusky is going to be isolated from potential victims for the rest of his life. His minimum prison sentence is 30 years, so he would have to live to over 100 years old to be a free man again.
