 I recommend VERY highly Richard Adams' "The Plague Dogs."
It's a powerful book and one of my favorites.

Adams died last week --  December 27, 2016 I believe.

Adams also wrote the extremely popular "Watership Down."

"The Plague Dogs" was made in to an animated film --  but is ain't no kiddie cartoon!!
I can't speak highly enough about the book. And I don't even consider myself a huge dog lover.

"No" ... most of my reading is educational. I don't read for pleasure, but I do watch movies and do love dogs.  I'll look for it on the shelf.
