This scene always makes me chuckle.

"Grandfather's Theme" with the featured bassoon has always been my favorite part of "Peter and the Wolf."
    :)

I'm unsure if I would enjoy 'visuals' to the work. I grew up just listening to the story with the music and I immensely enjoy just listening.
    :)
I don't particularly enjoy the Disney version of it -- that's the only visual version I've seen of the work. I'll probably not watch your clip here, either. I hope that's OK, Lucia!
    :)

Those French horns are sort of creepy! This post was edited by WelbyQuentin at January 5, 2017 4:28 AM MST

Alas, I cannot find a video clip, but it's from the cult classic The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension. The US Secretary of Defense is visiting the facilities of YoYoDyne Propulsion Systems (actually a front company for evil Red Lectroids) and complains to general manager John Bigbooté about the dilapidated plant condition and general mess. At which point the annoyed Bigbooté strangles the SecDef with his own necktie and reminds him:

"It's not my goddam planet! Understand, monkey boy?!" This post was edited by OldSchoolTheSKOSlives at January 4, 2017 6:51 PM MST

  • Hey Mr School,

Ill admit to a big WTF when it started, but I thought it was a very, very funny movie. I particularly liked this scene.
I found the last line great. Thanks. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at January 5, 2017 3:18 PM MST

  • Like I said before, I haven't watched the Star Wars movies, with the exception of the very first one and I vaguely remember it. I wanted to.especially respond to your answer because of the many things im familiar with, even without even ever watching the movies. That kinda says a lot about the movies staying power, you know?

So, first, what happened to her hair? Was her regular do one with the braids coiled into buns on the side of The Princess' head?
I remember reading somewhere about Ford improvising that line, "I know", after she says "I love you". He said that It was more in tune with the character of Han Solo.
What's the story with C3POs accent, is he supposed to be English?

And lastly, have you seen the Family Guys take on it?
(Not trying to be disrespectful. I saw this and it was not until now that I saw where it came from)

(I'm not sure whether it violates the TOS or not ... so)
