If YOU were a Wall Street financier, and were IN a meeting where Trump SAID he was gonna SCOLD GM on Twitter, would you SELL Twitter stock?

Hello:

I'm sorry.  Of course, I meant GM stock above.

For that matter, should Trump sell GM stock?  Do you CARE if Trump gets RICHER by being president??

Trump sold all of his stocks in June 2016. So he has no GM stock to sell.

Yeah... I'm not taking his word for it, sorry. I'll believe that when I see it.

Truth be told, for all his rhetoric about Hillary, he holds far more potential for corruption than she ever did. His constant verbal flip-flopping doesn't exactly establish an atmosphere of trust, if you know what I mean. He's said numerous things only to backtrack or completely reverse course later on.

    Hello my:

Couple things..  You don't have to OWN GM stock in order to SELL it.  It's called a short sale.  You borrow stock at today's price, sell it, and buy it back later to repay the loan...  So, when he said he sold ALL his GM stock, it COULD have been the truth..  Did Ivanka sell her GM stock?  You don't know, do you?

I admire your unwavering trust in the guy.  I'd trust him too, but like Reagan, I'd VERIFY it.

However, the LARGER question I'm asking, which you deftly AVOIDED, is it OK with you that Trump PROFITS from being president???

In an ideal world our politicians would not profit from their positions but they do. There is a reason they are all rich.
That doesn't make it right but you have to convict them all.

    Hello my:

In my view, politicians get rich when people HIRE them to speak or to lobby for them after they leave office..  I don't think it's because they're corrupt..  Oh, a few of them are, and we catch most of 'em..

Or, I could be absolutely IGNORANT about what's going on around me..  If that's so, I'll say goodby now.

They get their money from the stock that there legislation affects. Look up Nancy Pelosi and Visa stocks. Or John Boehner and Healthcare stocks. Insider trading for anyone else but just another day at the office for Congress.

I would have sold my hypothetical stock in GM when they required a bailout to stay in the game. It's unwise to invest in companies that require unfair advantages to stay in the black.

I don't like the idea of any politician profiting from their office in any capacity. Let's be honest though, Trump doesn't hold a corner on that game, he's a complete newb. The big dogs in DC will show him how it's done.
