"It seems like"  That phrase sounds like I'm uncertain of things.  I'm trying to stop saying it.

  • It doesn't sound uncertain to me, it seems like you're leaving room for the possibility of other position or idea. I see it as a polite gesture. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at January 7, 2017 8:47 AM MST

  • Not a word or phrase  as much as a  growl of displeasure and annoyance.

Don't lie; that's not your worst example!  You know you love saying, "I'm framing Randy D for killing Grilly, and the best part is that she's not even dead!"

    Grrrrrrrrr.

    I never said that Randy!

Is that your guilt talking?  Admit it Randy, you ate her!  How was she?  Her melted Cheddar and her lightly toasted bread with butter on it tasted oh so good, didn't it Randy?  Mmmm!  Tasty!  Am I right or am I right?

If I say it unconsciously how would I know what it is? Trick question? Do I win a prize? This post was edited by Element 99 at January 7, 2017 9:59 AM MST
