Are real crime TV shows "gritty and committed to show us reality as it is, or are they just soft core blood pornography?

Are shows like Forensic Files, Cold Case Files, The First 48, Dateline NBC, The homicide Hunter, Snapped, Unsolved Mysteries, Solved, The FBI Files, American Justice, Cold Justice, America's Most Wanted, Making a Murderer, City Confidential, The New Detectives, Disappeared, Nightmare next door, Deadly Women, Unusual Suspects, Killer Kids, The Investigators, A Crime to Remember, Tru Crime with Aphrodite Jones, I almost got Away with it, Dark Minds, and American Experience, legitimate programming designed to show the true nature and consequences of crime, or are they just murder pornography in disguise?
BTW, These are just SOME of the shows you can find shown  in American TV, at any given time.

  • Murderporn.  They always kinda romanticize the cases and draw them out to be more complex than they are while  the hosts always sound like they are getting boners over it.

Those shows are sick and I'll never understand  the draw.
