I should warn that the mods will "bite" if any names or likenesses are mentioned here in a derogatory way. We do try to keep things respectful between members, so saying something nasty or unkind about another member is on the no-no list. However, attacking an issue or topic is fair game... you will probably see a lot of that- perhaps more so than on other sites, as I think the general member base is just as interested in the answer as they are in how someone arrived at it. At least that's how the more serious Q&A winds up. There's plenty of silliness as well, as long as you're outside the politics and religion categories.
I'm a click away and you can use email, feedback, or reporting to grab my attention. We also have a couple of other volunteer mods floating around who help catch issues when they see them.
Other than that, I think everything is fairly standard- you're a veteran Q&A/ opinion enthusiast, so I'm sure you'll find your niche, depending on what interests you most and what kinds of personalities you prefer to interact with.
JustAsking, I might have pressed Report instead of Like here. The dialogue box is covering the area, so I can't check. There is a green dot on my pic. What is that?
The buttons are still visible/ accessible by scrolling, even if you have a dialogue box open, so you should be able to see what's happening by scrolling.
When you report, it asks for other information, so even if you accidentally bump it, nothing happens unless you add details. Plus, even if you did send a report by accident, nothing actually happens. It just triggers an alert for me. If I go look and don't see a TOS violation, I don't do anything. I just delete my alert and move on unless someone requests that I contact them about it.
