If you qualified as an Olympic athlete would you go to Rio?

No, I would not.  I understand that these athletes train very hard and wait four years to compete, but is it worth getting deathly ill or dying for a medal?  The conditions in Rio are deplorable and with such a short time left before the games, there is no way they will be able to clean the place up.

Don't bet on it.  Rio issued a statement this past week that they could not protect the athletes.

  • Sure, I'd love to see Rio. But it does sound like it was a poor choice for an Olympic venue.

Been there. Won't go back to Brazil. Rio is nice but getting to and from Sal Palo is dangerous and not worth it.
