  • I am no expert.. but we have schemes here to help people buy or have housing...  is that similar? If so then it would seem to me that any goverment is only as good as it's people.. as in they should see the citizens as valuable and valued resources.. and in order to be able to contribute to the good of the country its people need access to housing, food, medical care and jobs... if any of those are missing it falls apart.. so it would seem a backward step to remove anything that helps people buy their homes or get housing

    People who have an FHA mortgage have to pay mortgage insurance, which  is absolutely prudent.  FHA mortgages carry a lower interest rate because the government guarantees the loan.  The mortgagor (home buyer)  has to pay the insurance to help protect the government but it's still worth it because of the lower interest rate.  The government was going to reduce the amount of the insurance but decided not to, which again, was prudent.  Thank you Mr. President.
