No. But I was terrified of the Old Maid on a pack of Playing Cards.   I had a bad dream about her when I was about 4.  I still remember it.  It freaked me out.

Isn't it odd, what can spark our imaginations into overdrive - especially as kids.  Thanks Sharonna.

That one episode of Gilligan's Island in which a gorilla kidnaps Mrs. Howell.

After that episode I developed a lifelong fear

of pretentious old ladies wearing pearls.

Poltergeist....the scene with the brother being attacked by the tree.
I could not sleep for days....I had a huge tree next to my window.

In Poltergeist(1982)when the father started pulling on that rope and that big arse roaring skull popped out. Scared the dingleberries out of me. This post was edited by Zack at January 24, 2017 7:51 PM MST

Rooster -- you nailed it for me -- this movie scared me to death. I didn't find it fun at all -- I guess it was supposed to be fun.

But I will be right back- - it had a great (to me) theme song that I'll try to post.
    ;)

UPDATE: So this scary-to-me movie starts out with this happy-go-lucky sand-and-surf sounding beach movie song. The movie didn't even have a single beach in it, I think.

(The scene that got me PLOT SPOILER!! the nurse getting sucked into the blob after trying to help the first old man victim with the blob on the stick)
