oH yeah.  DEFINITELY.    You don't allow drunk people behind the wheel and if you are too drunk to notice, it's on you.   You are part of the problem.   People need to take SOME responsibility. This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at January 25, 2017 3:50 PM MST

True story ------- I had a drunk buddy who had a carload of drunken idgets with him when he was pulled over late one night. The state trooper commanded that everyone step out of the car and sit down on the ground. However, the driver refused. (hey, he was drunk!) Then the trooper tried to grab my buddy to pull him out. As the poor cop tried to open the door, my buddy floored the car and took off with the cop hanging on for dear life. As the car reached speed, the cop begged for his life and tried to get the ignition keys which he finally got and shut the car down. Meanwhile, the group of idgets walked over to a nearby resturant with the trooper's hat!  Anyway, my buddy got his first (of many) trips to prison.

Yes, and they usually pay for it with their lives. And unfortunately, innocent people do to in these collisions. You can be a meticulous driver, an expert, vigilant, aware, careful, sober, and long experienced. But you're only in control of the vehicle you're in, not the others. That's the problem with driving.
