  • I think you know the answer to that as well as I or anyone else. There should never be any so called sanctuary offered to those who have committed violent crimes, especially after being deported several times as one who has gained entry illegally. How many times do the authorities have to intervene before such people are prevented from committing rape and murder etc. I take a stand of intolerance because I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I would be prosecuted to the fullest extent without hope of "sanctuary". By the way, churches established themselves as sanctuaries because ecclesiastical authorities had always wanted to take a step beyond the spiritual realm into the secular. Why should these folks be protected when even those who seek political asylum have to apply through the State Dept?

    Hi Rosie:

I believe the term is sanctuary cities. But churches, synagogues, and mosques still are sanctuaries.

This is one of the reasons why he doesn't like them:

    or if you prefer

The cities need to work with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to avoid these scenarios.  If SF had worked with ICE, this tragedy never would have occurred.

    Q: WWJD? (: rhetorical question :)
A: "Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors". (: Oh the irony :)

    Houston, we have a problem.
