Only because most are so far from reality that they are now just silly. My mind treats them like they are cartoons.

I just don't watch them. I don't find them interesting or entertaining.  Though I do wonder...who comes up with some of the stuff in them!

  • Not that I've been desensitized to them, more that few in the genera know how to make or write a decent horror or terror suspense movie these days. Cliches, torture-porn,found footage, and crappy CGI effects have taken it over.  It's far and few between you see a good one after the late 90's.  The creativity and darkness has been removed and it's superficial shells these days.

Like I think I shared with you a while back, for some reason that found-footage "Cloverfield" scared me to death.

I have never watched one, nor do I want to.

  • I used to watch horror movies, when I was a kid, just to see how they killed the monster.
Nowadays, I stick a little closer to reality. :)

Desensitized? I think it was more that I was scared away from them.

For some reason, "Cloverfield" terrified the hell out of me and I've not watched a horror movie since.

The movie kept me away from watching ANY movie for about a year and a half.
Most others find the movie average to bad it seems.
