  • I can't see what you posted.
But now im thinking, if they were going to remake that one, would they still use that same phrase?
I wonder if they would add some kind of expletive in there somewhere.
But I I agree with you, I think that one could be used just like it is. )

  • Thanks, I also thought about,
Say hello to my little personal acquaintance.
I love the smell of coffee in the morning, not much of a Napalm guy.
What we've got here, is that you guys ain't listening right.
We all go ape S**t sometimes.

I saw this one written somewhere, I thought it was clever.

"Frankly, my dear, although I empathize with your feelings, they are not exactly my primary focus at this time."
    .
    And,

Houston, we have a.situation, it is not a mayor situation yet, but I can foresee a scenario in which it could become one, ..  or even a problem,. . If not rectified soon..   we may be calling soon saying that indeed, we do have a problem. But for now, Huston, we got a situation.

Lago, I was just about to close out for a while and do some shopping and cleaning.  Before I did,  I ran across the tab, Great Movie Quotes, I had opened to answer your question.   I would like to share this last one with you.  You may have heard of it:

This kind of movie trivia is fun, but the movies are never trivial. Consider MRS. MINIVER...a film released the same year as CASABLANCA. Its closing lines were so powerful to President Franklin Roosevelt, that he ordered them printed on millions of leaflets and dropped over Nazi-occupied Europe."

    VICAR

This is the people's war! It is our war! We are the fighters! Fight it, then! Fight it with all that is in us, and may God defend the right.

    MRS. MINIVER MGM, 1942
    ACTOR Henry Wilcoxon
SCREENWRITERS Arthur Wimperis, George Froeschel, James Hilton, Claudine West
    DIRECTOR William Wyler
    PRODUCERS William Wyler, Sidney Franklin

What do you think we would say today?

  • I did not know this, thank you so much.
    Hmm? today?
    That's a good one.
I can't come up with anything clever, but im pretty sure it would have.some some sort of Logo. Some kind of feel good Coke Cola slogan, would be.attached to it somewhere.

Hi Lago~ Here are a few Coca-Cola slogans blended with Nike slogans that might fit the bill:

For people on the go. Just do it even if you suck at it.  Just do it in variations.  Coke knows no season. Get out and do it.  It's the Real Thing.  A Sign of good Taste.  Leave Nothing.

    How's that? Winks and Smiles!

  • Looking at the fact that it's.going to be dropped on soldiers, I think it would be a mixture of all those...something like,
Coke knows no reason, just do it, leave.nothing!

  • Yes you have, Mr L. If I said that I turned on the TV yesterday afternoon and there he was, the film was showing in a coincidentally coincidental way, you would believe me.

    Very good!
I like this question - - it reminded me of some of your recent questions, LyricalOne. (I wonder which Benedict Arnold this one was?)
