Feminism is not the belief that one gender should be raised in power above another. The very definition of feminism shows a complete opposition to this belief. So when people comment against feminism, they are supporting sexism. There is no sitting on the fence. You are either a feminist or sexist. Unfortunately, most sexists don’t know they are sexist, and compose the majority of the population. They are unaware that sexism is something that has been forced on to them through the brainwashed media of a patriarchal society.
Damm! Mr Rooster, there is nothing I can say to top that. And if I tried, it would take me at least ten pages. What people don't get is that the discredit of the feminist movement by ridicule and misinformation is done on purpose. To sway and manipulate public opinion. On top of that you add women walking around topless and there you have it. No different than ridiculing evolution or global warming. What better way to make sure that women stay in line than to make them themselves believe is wrong to.act differently. Then all you have.to do is sit and let them teach the same crookedness to their sons, and worse, to their daughters. Thanks That's better than anything I could have.said.
I don't.know anything about that right wing thing you mention. I'd think that a topic as divisive as feminism is, would take more than right wing catch phrases to explain.
It's true.. Feminism is a complex issue, and catch phrases are trite. It is, however, my readers digest version. I come to that simple conclusion because in the over arching history of our nation, right wingers (BOTH Democrat and Republican), have resisted any and all efforts to INCLUDE people different than them into the fold of freedom.. Women are simply one group of many.
