Hello:
In regards to Syrian refugees. We're NOT letting them IN because they MIGHT commit a crime. If we let people out of jail who we KNOW committed a crime, WHY would we suspect a whole people who never have??
I guess it would depend on the severity of the crime. First time offense? I think there is some leeway there with some sort of rehabilitation. There's always that "might" factor involved. Like I said, depends on the severity of the crime and a mental evaluation.

What I'm getting at, is that we're NOT letting Syrian refugees IN because they MIGHT commit a crime, even if they've NEVER committed a crime. My point was, that if we let people out of jail who we KNOW already committed a crime, WHY would we suspect a whole people who never have.
I see. Whole different ballgame there. Thing is? How do we know who or which ones have or will commit any crime here. Almost impossible to tell but you know that a few of those people will come here for criminal intent. Look at some of the history of the Korean War and how the N.K. came in with the refugees. Same with Vietnam. Really hard to answer excon. Hate to see things like that but what's the real answer? We can't vet every single one of them.
