  • Apart from worrying that America has a nut-case as prez, I worry about how many young people now seem so fragile re their mental health.. so many harming themselves.. so many SO lacking in resilience...  depression is NOT something young people should be feeling :(

School teachers have been teaching liberalism to youngsters for years. Poor kids are so messed up from it, they self harm.

I am with you on this DDB.  Severe depression and anxiety is heartbreaking to see in young people and there seems to be a whole generation that isn't coping well.

Hi Not Flo~ Your answer is actually one I can relate too.  Not because I'm hungry but because of the simplicity of it and the blatant point it stands for.  I'm going to post right now.  Please cruise on down and read it when I'm done.  You'll see how your post and my post are going to intertwine! Happy! Happy! This post was edited by Merlin at February 1, 2017 10:18 AM MST

  • I can't wait to read your post. It my opinion that most people are putting too much thought into the current situation with the POTUS. We need a little time to let things roll and see where it takes us. There's way too much speculation and second guessing going on.
I was your friend on Ask a few years ago. My initials were AH.

I seen a thread you had with Jaimie and thought those were your initials but wasn't positive.

That a once great beacon of liberty, the USA, is being put on a downward spiral to becoming a Fascist state. Impossible? Maybe. Maybe not.

Think what would have happened if Hitler had had a gigantic nuclear arsenal at his fingertips in 1940.

The systematic ruination of the United States, that we're witnessing, and its possible irreversible decline.

I'm not picking on your choice of words.  I am actually agreeing with you and your concerns.  The small point is "action."

If we all take the "should" "would" and "could" out of our vocabularies and start Doing what we know or feel we need to, we will feel we accomplished something.

Yes, I am going to do something right now.  I am concerned about our country and I am going to write to my Senator.

When we stop thinking or wishing and start doing, we find action happens.

That, Zack Mr. GenXer, is what I AM going to do today.  As you said with your closing your word,  "now."

It means that millions of baby boomers are going to need care as Alzheimer's takes it toll on the aged.  Of course, if Paul Ryan has his way, they will have Trump sign an executive order disposing of them.

  • Everyone should be concerned that as a society we are collectively becoming a bunch of as_holes!

A lot of people don't believe in anything anymore they don't care about peace or love or honesty or raising a family.
They only care about money, selfies, porn, drugs, 3-ways, cheating on each other with s_it heads they meet online, travelling and getting tattoos so they can be unique like everybody else.

Anyway Trump is the least of our worries, he's just a reflection of what society is becoming.

    Happy Wednesday. : )

Believe me, there are so many people complaining about the way things are today, that there are probably more people that disagree than you can imagine they just aren't as outspoken as the norm.
