Before now, it's never entered my mind to think about someone's racial make up on here. I guess if you feel it's important to tell us, whatever you say you are I would believe. I have no choice but to take you at your word.
If you choose not to tell us, then don't. Doesn't matter.
That's an interesting question. I suppose that the default setting in my mind is that everybody is white. Or whitish. It is usually a surprise when after talking to someone for a while I find out they are not. Not that I care, . .It is more like a . . Hey . . .I didn't this guy was black. . .or Indian or whatever.... Good question.
Back in my saintly days (about 60 years ago) we had a visiting speaker at our church. He had twin Ph.Ds one in theology the other in music. During his sermon he stepped down from from the pulpit and asked us to listen while he played a short, classical piece on the piano. Then he played it again and asked us to spot the difference. It sounded the same to me but he had played the first one using only the white keys and the second using only the black.
His point was obvious without me pointing it out but it leads me to think, 99, that you're neither black nor white. You're a piano.
I know I have said this many times. If have tried saying it upside down. I've tried backwards. I've been curt. I have stood and said it point blank. Sometimes, I think I even went in-between the lines. I've also tried black ink on white paper and white ink on black paper.
This time I think I'll try saying it upside down, backwards, curtly and point blankly, in between the lines in black ink on a white screen, all at the same time and add the dreaded, guilt. "Please write an autobiography!" The antics and experiences you've had in life and your story-telling talents are worth millions in laughter and smiles through out the world. It's a crime to all of us you don't make a collection and have them published.

You and Gator Blu are both very kind but I can get away with anecdotes on a site like this that would be totally boring if you had to wade through a book of them. I actually started to write it, even had a working title (Until it Sneezes) which somebody on Ask suggested might work but I can't work up any enthusiasm for it.
And, very, very briefly, and as clean as I can manage: Young man ... doctor ... diagnosis, STD. Young man, aghast, says, "But doctor, couldn't I just have a cold in it?" And doctor replies, "It might be a cold, but until it sneezes we'll treat it as the clap."
Gatorblu and I are both clapping and laughing at your clap joke!! See? You've still got it. Silly man, I'll make the decision as to whether I'd get bored twirling through your stories. Of course they may seem rather drab to you because you lived them. Some people have never been out of the United States. The culture within itself would be fun. Combine your travels with your experiences and you've got a hit!!
I have an idea that might give you a boost .... How about writing it in third person?. Tell your tales with a fictitious character playing you. Make another up for Mrs. D. when she comes into play. The magic you have with words and emphasis on what others over-look is classic.... not to mention the incredibly unusual situations you seem to find yourself in. I don't know why, but Peter Sellers and The Pink Panther keeps coming to mind. Big smiles. Your stories are very different; but, for some reason, they seem similar to me today!
That could definitely work, Merlin. I'll see if I can come up with a format. It'd only take a few months to put together and if it doesn't sell it won't do any worse than Mistress which was lost in the vast number of books published on the Net every week. I'll think about it. Thanks for the encouragement.
,I really don't care what race you are ,just treat me with respect and I'll do the same. Can you tell what planet I'm from? Or doesn't it matter? most assume I'm from earth, why? don't assume anything you could be surprised. Have a great day ,who ever you are, or where you are from.
