Thank you, Rooster. I am really doing something wrong and it's making me too tired to stay on here...I don't know how it happened... a question popped up, asking about colorful language on aM. I said I used to "cuss like a sailor" and even told dirty jokes until I became a Christian and gave the Bible verses that supported not talking like that. Immediately my post was removed. I sent another post asking why and that one too was removed. I submitted a third and that was removed also.
In my notifications people are commenting on what I said but when I click them, I am taken to what appears to be a recent question but in looking for the comments I only see things posted in Oct. 2016.
There is a glitch right now, that is not showing the number (next to the bell) of new notifications. It is doing it to everyone right now. I am just clicking on the bell periodically to see if anything is there.
Mmm... Last night the dev was on and fixed an issue with some questions not displaying. When he finished, the alerts were gone, but I thought they'd start regenerating. I didn't know until saw this thread that it was widespread not working. :/ I let him know.
I think you're looking at the most popular polls, which appears as a sidebar. If you use the polls option at the top of the page or read through the polls on the home page, you'll see the newest ones.
