Hi Element 99~  Thanks for taking the time to answer.  I'm an oldies person too.  In fact, I'm a pretty old character in comparison if you go by Merlin years!  I was interested in this because I'm wondering what constitutes as music?  I am all about classic old rock n' roll, folksong singers, soft rock, jazz, and some classical. The 70s and back sits just fine with me.  It kills me when I hear some of the remakes. Thanks element 99.  What is the element 99 anyway?  Is there one?  It's been a long time since I've in school.  I was too busy listening to rock n' roll.  My parents were right.... it did hurt my brain cells!  Big giggles! ;) :)

Calum Scott's "Dancing On My Own"

~ the piano accompaniment and his emotional delivery make me feel his loneliness
~ the song is different than most songs on the radio now
~ Calum's singing and the song make me want to listen

Thank you WelbyQuentin for taking a moment and answering.  Hearing the emotion of the song and than feeling it as well seems to me a success for both the singer/musician and listener.  A lot of times the music is never heard because the message is so strong or the music is so good the message is never heard.  Sometimes a little of both and the listener just wings it :).  It's nice this song represents all pieces in it's own right and you were able to hear all parts of the sounds and emotion.  Thank you again WelbyQuentin.  I appreciate your input. :) This post was edited by Merlin at February 4, 2017 8:00 PM MST
