Incredible Statement by a Trump Team Member

Kellyanne Conway, Trump's chief adviser, referred to an attack by terrorists in Bowling Green Kentucky as the "Bowling Green Massacre". Only problem is there is no such thing as a Bowling Green Massacre. SHE MADE IT UP OUT OF WHOLE CLOTH!!!!

Today, Conway said "I misspoke". She was caught by a vigilant press corps. She provided no further explanation. Later she tweeted about something about the Obama administration in an attempt to excuse herself and divert attention from her original bold-faced lie.

Trump, Conway, and that mealy-mouthed press character - a triumvirate of LIARS.

It is imperative that the press be hyper-vigilant when it comes to this motley crew.

She misspoke. There was not Bowling Green Massacre.
What she was talking about was in 2009 Iraqi terrorists came into the country through the refugee program. Where upon coming to Bowling Green they participated in financing and providing weapons to Al-Quada in Iraq (now called ISIS) They were charged in 2011 and Pres Obama halted Iraqi refugee program for 6months after this so they could improve vetting of Iraqi refugees......(sounds like what Pres Trump is doing but only halting for 3 months)

People misspeak....it happens. Obama said he had been to all 56 states..... This post was edited by my2cents at February 3, 2017 2:13 PM MST

Misspoke? If she would have done better research, she would not have "misspoken". At that level, you can't make a mistake like that. This post was edited by Zack at February 4, 2017 2:08 PM MST

This administration makes a lot of misspeaks, jokes etc. One never knows when to believe what they say is true, or an alternative truth.

The point she was trying to make sadly is lost now.Because she said it wrong. She knows it too which is why I believe she did misspeak.
The point is that in 2009 Iraqi terrorists used to refugee program to gain entry into the USA. Obama then placed a halt on Iraqi refugees for 6 months to improve the vetting process.
Do you believe she wanted that point lost?

It seems they still don't get that they aren't campaigning any longer. Their tactic with alternative facts won't pass as easily no more.

Btw, your reference back to the Obama administration is a bad one that has been debunked. I guess it didn't reach your news sources, but at least outside the US it did.

No it has not been debunked. Even if they want to deny they stopped the program. One only need to look at the number of Iraqi refugees admitted each year and compare.  The number admitted dropped from 2009--18,000 2010--18,000 to 2011--9,000. Interesting that number dropped 1/2 and Obama's ban lasted 1/2 yr.  And NO applications did NOT drop by 1/2 in 2011.
I do no call that debunked. No matter if Obama wants to lie about it or not.

    From your link:
In 2011, Obama’s state department stopped processing Iraqi refugee requests for six months, though it didn’t disclose the policy like Trump did, ABC reported in 2013.

Read all of it and get enlightened. Weve bee through this before, drop taking one line and distort it out of context. Enjoy your day.

The rest just says that Obama was reacting and Trump is being proactive. I will take a proactive President trying to defend this country any day over someone waiting for an attack to happen. Defense rather than having to counterattack.

Thanks for joining in Karen, but there's no breaking news there, and I am aware of this. Isn't the same Conway said, do we agree? They are so used running with half truth they don't even care off whether it's the truth, or not. The will use misspoken, joke, sarcasm, lightheaded among others as their excuse when caught.

What really worries me, is how people who voted for him so lightheartedly neglect and downplay these incidents. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at February 4, 2017 10:26 AM MST

Sure she did. She did not care to be prepared, as in their ways of dealing with truths and facts it is less important. Hey, they can always call the misspeaking, joke, sarcasm, or lightheaded excuse I feel caught. Facts doesn't matter, and apparently also not to their voters. It's only important when others (in opposition) opens their mouths. There is a word for this: double standards. End of taking part in this thread any longer from my side. You keep up excusing their lighthearted ways of dealing with facts and truths. That's your free choice. Bye. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at February 4, 2017 10:20 AM MST

  • I do agree with you, she shouldn't have said that. Words can carry a lot of weight and cause panic. I posted it to show that there was an incident  in Ky., and that they got through under the refugee program. I do think we need a better vetting system than the one we have in place. it really bothers me that they, the terrorists, can get here so easily. I know we have radicalized natural born citizens among us as well though.  It's all one big ball of scary.

The vetting process has been worked through. That was part of the ban of the Obama administration back then.
