Do you automatically defend people about whom you know nothing? Shouldn't you find out before you do?

  • Interesting question.

I try not to defend people without good reason.. but ya know sometimes we shoot from the hip and defend someone when they don't really deserve it.. .I am sure I have done that once or twice.

People who insist on defending someone they don't know OR when they ignore evidence that that person should NOT be defended.. now that's another matter!

An  Answermugger defended Milo Yiannopolous and then she said she knew nothing about him. Well he's all over the place with his RACIST spewing. He is a Breitbart columnist fer cryin' out loud! That in itself is enough to tell people what he is all about. Expect for the automatic defenders of anything right-wing. Makes no sense to me but I guess it does to them. Thank you for your reply DdbTD and Happy Saturday. Now if we don't KNOW about stuff that comes out later that's a different story altogether But we do know all about Milo. No excuse not to unless you live in a cave.  And if so why defend an unknown quantity? Why not find out first? Different strokes! This post was edited by RosieG at February 4, 2017 2:51 AM MST

  • Oooooh I wonder if he is the man I posted a comment to in reply to one of his videos? I posted something like that he behaves in a very distasteful way etc etc. but there were a lot of people defending him for sure.. which frankly is unbelievable and makes me disappointed in some of the human race.

Could be honey. I dunno. I give up on those folks. They are the ones who did nothing but hate on President Obama the entire time he was in office and keep on hating on him even after he is gone from power. The same ones who defend/support/admire/embrace RACIST BIGOTS! Go figger! There must be a lot more racist bigots in America today than there used to be. Sad ain't it? :( Thank you for your reply.
