If you lost your job could you use your skills to start a business?

How successful would you expect it to be? In what field?

  • It's always a challenge. I didn't lose a job until I was in my 50s and I found, very quickly, that employers preferred to hire younger people. From then on (I was in an industry threatened by technology) I was in and out of work till my retirement. It was a bit of a shock. :)

  • They can be learned, of course, but I share your limitations. I just wouldn't have the ability to exploit people and I think a successful business person needs a killer instinct. Of course, they might call it something else. :)
