Is there a legend or belief in your country's mythology that you find interesting?

This country has so many stories of the First Nations People, and so many of them are interesting.

The one I like is about creation.  I may not remember it 100%, but I will do my best.

The great Mother created the world and all the plants. She said something is missing, so she dug a hole in the ground and started pulling out all the animals of the world. The final creature she pulled from the hole was the most magnificent of all.. The Caribou!! As time progressed the Caribou began to get sickly and die. The Mother took a bone of the Caribou and from the bone she fashioned the Wolf.  The Wolf chased and ate any Caribou it could catch. Forcing the Caribou to run and only the strong and healthy survived.  The Wolf still does its job, keeping the Caribou healthy and strong, for the Wolf and the Caribou are One>  Each depending on the other to keep it alive and strong.
