Local only. Jimmy Jackson, NBA player from here. I met him at the golf range where I worked. Also a local, Erik Kynard...silver medal in the 2012 Olympic high jump. He was one of my physics students.
No and honestly. i probably wouldn't care... i was at convention similar to Comic Con and there was famous movie actors there and the people were going mad over them but i had no idea who they were..
Back in 1994 we had the movie "My Antonia" filmed on our property. It starred Neil Patrick Harris, Eva Marie Saint, and the late Jason Robards. I met, shook hands with, and have autographs from all three.
Otis Williams from the Temptations was doing some work with my son and his partner on some music he wanted done and I got to meet him in a club and we even sang together.
2 time Masters champion Ben Crenshaw's wife, Julie. The actor who played 'John' on the TV show 'Chips'. Bill Medley of The Righteous Brothers. Felix Cavalere from 'The Rascals' band. Eddie Money. My brother-in-law stepped outta his place of employment to be surrounded by Secret Service and President George W. Bush, who was lost. They were looking for a campaign venue in Toledo, Ohio.
I have. Several in fact. A film director who won the Palme d'Or, a head coach who won gold with his team both in the olympics as world championships, and the lead singer of a band that ran #1 in the chart lists around the world (USA included).

No one very famous.... I did party with two people who were on a television show ...Stephen glover ( stage name Steve-O) and Ryan Dunn ( Ryan has since passed :( I went to an after party with them for one of their live shows....One of the most Fu**ed up nights of my life. Also I briefly met Christopher Walken at a movie premiere...just enough to say hi .... I love him... Alot. But I didn't really meet him well.... So that is not really fair for for me.
The first four words of your answer is false. Christopher Walken is very famous. Legend.

Lol :) oh! I know he is :)he is my favourite :) meant the ones I spent most time with not so famous .... They're from a show called Jack-a** . Anyone knows me knows I adore christopher walkin :) but that was one second meet ... So no count .... Meh :(
Rik Mayall. He was known in the UK for being a comedian and actor in the famous TV shows: "The Young Ones" and "Bottom". He is known worldwide for playing the lead character, Fred, in the movie; "Drop Dead Fred". I met him in 2001, in the bar of a Hilton hotel. I was surprised by his height (about six feet), as he didn't look tall on screen. He was a soft spoken, nice guy.
Thank you all for sharing your magic movie star/songwriter/rockn'roll/artists moments! It's cool, I think to see the different times in life when you had an opportunity to meet someone that we all might know! Thanks for sharing! :) :)
