I disagree bh, you have your perspective for sure, but others have theirs.. so for what it's worth I find Rosie's questions interesting, thought-provoking and challenging.. and that to me seems an entirely good thing :)
You might want to ask yourself, why you feel particularly concerned about this.. now before people get their knickers in a twist I shall explain I mean no insult whatsoever by this, what I mean is.. that as human beings when we feel worried, irritated or irked by something on here we should examine ourselves, our motives, our rationale.. why do we feel this way, what is it about us and within ourselves that reacts in this way..
I am not asking you to justify yourself to me or to anyone else.. justify to yourself but be sure to be very honest with yourself - this is an exercise in self awareness and personal development :)
Well my friend that sure lets Jim and me out! But we're also old and Liberals so right there we have 3 strikes against us! Every day more weird stuff happens and no one seems to do anything about it. Lots of folks don't give a rat's a** that the Constitution is being trampled on..that the mafia don profits from his position..that the mafia don's family is using it to make more money..that the mafia don is taking away the very things that made America great and replacing them with a despotic authoritarian dictatorship that is breathtaking. His worshippers will take anything he throws at them without blinking. Nothing he does is too illegal or greedy or boorish or dangerous or disgusting. It's all good as far as they are concerned and they will go to their graves defending him. I have no idea what makes them tick Lulu'sMom. I don't. There is no such thing as an "alt right Christian". As the Bible teaches against racism, anti-Semitism.... anyone who is any of these things is NOT a Christian.
So you are saying that the churchgoing racists/bigots/homophobes are phonies? Liars? Fakes? I think so too. Thank you for your reply m2c and Happy Friday to thee. "What you do to the least of mine you do to me". "Love thy neighbor as thyself". That means something to me. What does it mean to thee?:)
I mean to be a Christian one must follow the Bible. And the Bible does not condone racism or anti-Semitism.etc we are to love another as Christ loves the church.
The most important commandments are: Love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Do unto others as you would have done to you.
This cannot be done and still harbor racism or hatred/dislike of another persons for any reason even politicians, or members of the opposite party, or even who have wronged us in day to day life.
God chosen people are the Jews. How can you love God yet not love His chosen people?
