I'd be lion if I said this is easy, but you you know me; I'm always game when it comes to word-play. It's the exact kind of horsing around that I like the most, a subject deer to my heart, so owl tackle it to the best of my ability. If I can't come up with some great ones, I'll just wing it until they dawn on me. I'm not bragging, so don't rat me out to management, they might rush me out of here. One has to be especially careful answering this, because a pun is not merely an idiomatic expression, no, it's quite a different animal. You probably couldn't bear endless strings of people cooing about their own cleverness when in fact they're just hawking their wares and barking up the wrong tree with adages and not filling the bill the way you've asked. I have a snaking suspicion that others might be doing better at this than I am doing, which is why I won't peek at their answers until after I've posted mine. Well, I've ferreted my best material, so now it's time for me to put these tired puppies if mine to bed.
