Drama Queen = someone who overreacts to normal every day things, behaving as if everything is a crisis because they are desperately seeking attention.

The male equivalent is either a Drama King or a Crisis King.

    Example:

It seems my videos aren't showing up for some people so I am including the link

  • She did that so well and, yeah, that illustrates the point.

I got it just fine, which is probably bad. I often can't get things that are listed "unavailable in your country" which may explain why some others aren't getting them.

The male equivalent of a drama queen is still a drama queen. If they lack the testicular fortitude to face their problems without whining then they are every bit a drama queen. Self held pity parties does no one any good.

  • "Drama Queen" - is a person who habitually responds to situations in a melodramatic way. The phrase is gender-neutral.

  • Fair comment. It seems to imply female but I've known plenty of male drama queens.

  • Tell me, how do you cope with all the tourists turning up to gawp? That'd drive me nuts.

  • Well, that twenty minutes equates to about thirteen miles, so I don't get to see much of that circus.
My little neighborhood only has three ways into it, so it's very easy to drive by and miss completely.
Generally, the only time it's noisy is on the weekends, otherwise it's very quiet here.

  • You showed me that once before, but I forgot. I didn't realise it was part of LA.

  • We try not to think of it that way. We're part of the county, but not part of the city  ...  Marina del Rey is an unincorporated seaside community and census-designated place in Los Angeles County, California.

  • Fair nuff. From this far away we couldn't tell unless somebody told us.

  • I gotta agree with that, Veena. How the heck did America put itself in this situation?

  • Dead right, Pearl. They can be a bit much at times.

I used to work with a man who could turn everything into drama. Poor little guy had a horrible life but much of it was his own making. He'd just rather find something to complain about than to actually try to make things better. Maybe we could name a male drama queen after him: a Clive. :)
