    They are both childish. It amounts to two people throwing temper tantrums. The better thing to do is just listen to the other person, then give facts to support your point of view. Then discuss with an exchange of ideas, thoughts and facts. Shutting anyone down is shutting yourself down. There is no personal growth. Even if you never agree you should at least get an idea of where the other person is coming from.

    I have a lot of friends with whom I don't agree, but through discussion I can appreciate their point of view and they can appreciate mine. We are still friends. We have just agreed to disagree on certain matters.
