Absolutely not. There is a huge difference between legal and illegal. I'm fine with immigrants coming here legally as most people are. I have a problem with people coming here and/or staying here illegally. Being against illegal immigration means you're against people who violated laws to be here, not ones who came her the right way.
I have no problems with legal immigration. I am just 2 gen American born on both sides of my family. I think those who are here illegally should get legal or leave. If they are a criminal they should leave or we should jail them and then deport them. I believe we should punish employers who work illegals.
I'm all for legal immigration so long as the law is designed to serve the interests of my country (i.e. skilled people only, from enlightened cultures that integrate).
Even if a person is against immigration to the point of complete isolationism, that doesn't make them "anti immigrant". The far left always seek to make everything personal. They can't seem to understand why anyone would do anything unless motivated by love or hate.
If I were poor and/or from a war torn country, I'd be an immigrant to the wealthy west (legal or otherwise). I don't blame them for pursuing their interests, though I feel no guilt in pursuing mine. If I see immigration as against the national interest of my country I vote against it. It's just a calculation to me, not emotional.

Lulu, I can't even PM you here. It has to be something on your end. You show on my friend's list when I go to compose a message, but if you click on your name, it will not go into the box that will allow you to be a recipient.
Being against 'illegal' activites makes you 'anti-illegal' .. I know I am .. and proud of it.
EVEN when it comes to immigration .. I, for one, do not condone illegal .. and I repeat .. ILLEGAL .. immigration. I, for one, believe we all need to play in this sand box fairly and contribute our fair share ... and keeping it fair involves following the law.
