It had pulled up at a station. I fell between the train and the tracks. Fortunately somebody saw me go and held up the train till they pulled me out. I woke up next morning in hospital -- still drunk. That was the last time.
We had a pool table. When the kids grew one of them took it for his kids. Now they've grown and I think it went to one of their homes. It sure was good value for money. :)
We had planned to go cycle touring (pedals) when we retired but by the time that happened we had both run into bad health. Still, it was a nice idea at the time.
That's too bad. Touring can be fun, interesting and educational and safer over there ... with less traffic. Over here, if you can't keep up, they run you off the road or worse. My brother used to cycle (pedals) here. Too scary for me!
Sometimes I have extreme endurance contests with friends - we stick our toes in the creek and see who can keep them in the longest - the creek is glacier feed so it's really cold. Cheers and happy weekend!

I have approximately one terabyte of (Jazz/Doo Wop/other) music that I'm constantly listening to.

I have a selection on my smartphone that I listen to when I'm walking, including some military music. It used to work well as I strode along. These days I have to use a walking stick and if a march comes on my feet want to join in but my knees won't cooperate. It probably makes me look like a grasshopper with a broken leg.
Hahahaha. Keep it up Didge, believe me, I know about those knees. I'm like those song lyrics "don't get around much anymore". Not Complaining.

Dear Didge, What I love most to do for entertainment is to sit in the sun and savour the flavour of being. (Which is not always easy when it is February here in the Northern Hemisphere...)
You took me back in memory to a day about 1950 when I played hooky from school. I couldn't go home because Mum would have skinned me, but I spent much of the day lying under a tree, near quite a lovely river, enjoying not only the sky but the environment. I'd totally forgotten that until you answered this question, so thank you for the memory.
