  • Lately? nothing.
It hasn't been a good winter for outdoor activities and gyms are just too damn boring

I wonder if you'd like CrossFit. I've been at it for about 3 years now, every single day is different.

  • I had to look it up.
Probably not. It looks very regimented which never works for me. Thing is I need a destination or purpose or I'm not interested.  That's why treadmills and gym equipment don't hold my focus.
Hike to the top of that mountain.  Drag that sled on snowshoes to the shanty.  Chop that wood kinda stuff. Without that I'm unmotivated and easily bored with it. :/
I do walk almost everywhere I go though. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at February 19, 2017 8:54 PM MST

  • Looks intense. Honestly reading about whiteboards and stuff was what really made me question it.  Sounds like corporate model stuff kinda lol.

Somebody makes an effort to suggest something to me I will at least look into it. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at February 19, 2017 6:43 AM MST

  • My wife and I have a long greenway near our home. We try to walk about three miles of it everyday during the week.

  • It's less than 2 miles, but that's because I don't live too far from my workplace :) On weekends I sometimes do a 15 mile loop around the city for extra exercise.

Well, I do a whole lot of sitting at my computer. I don't like to do exercise that feels like exercise. I'd rather eat glass than go to a gym. I've often wondered if there was a coffee truck and I had no coffee, if I'd actually run to catch it. I've decided that my disdain for running actually outweighs my love of coffee... that says something.

So, I've been trying to figure out what I can do besides exercise to stay fit, and I settled on dance. Only, I don't have anyone to dance with, so I've mostly been ignoring it. Also, I can't dance beyond the chicken dance or the Macarena. This past week, I decided to go off in search of some kind of something to fill the empty void in my life, and started researching solo dance classes for adults in my area. Oddly enough, the top-rated dance studio only teaches burlesque. Personally, that whole concept makes me really uncomfortable, plus there's the whole thing that I can't dance anyway... not even a little, so that would make it twice as awkward and uncomfortable. Naturally, I did what any sane and rational person would do in such circumstances, and asked them to reserve a spot for me. :p Yay for fitness!

All I remember reading is that you're starting a new career as a Burlesque Dancer. I'll just need to know the venue and which nights you'll be on.

JA running after a coffee truck....I can almost visualize it;)) Did you like the yoga video I posted JA? The girl doing it is a Bollywood actress married and with kids, look at her belly.....yoga does 'wonders', once you begin you will crave to do it more and more...and you need nothing but a mat. Dance....yes....lemme look up I heard it's good for shaping .....renting a treadmill is easy dear, in case you don't wanna go to a gym. Congrats on getting a spot reserved;))

I don't. I just ignore the inevitable future consequences of my sedentary lifestyle. *morbid face*
