It is possible for money to grow on trees but there's a problem.
Back in the 1950s a movie (I think it was called "It Grows on Trees") was made about a guy who had a money tree that grew perfect greenbacks. He ran into all the problems you'd expect from thieves, the Internal Revenue, and the G-men, solved the lot, and was all set to live happily ever after with more money than Croesus. Or Trump.
Then the inevitable happened and the banknotes went the same way as any other leaf taken from any other tree. They aged and crumbled to dust.
