Compliments Challenge?

My new friend JBopine taught me the other day that I could post on someone's wall.  Prior to that I thought we could only post on our own walls. Yeah, it takes me a while to catch onto things.  In my defense, I mentioned I was a moron on a thread a few days back.

Anywho, I have a CHALLENGE for all you muggers!

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to post compliments on another person's wall.  The challenge will be to use one or more adjectives which describe that person in a way that everyone else will recognize him/her.  I started this on my own yesterday morning on two people's walls and intend to continue doing so on a daily basis going forward, as time will allow.

I believe, if nothing else, it might brighten the day of someone who is going through a rough patch.  And, it just might uplift your own mood as well.

One other caveat, no one should have the expectation that the other person must reply in kind.  If you feel like responding, that is fine.  But, if you don't, that is cool too.  No one should feel hurt if someone doesn't respond.  Know that it just means they aren't feeling up to it today or, they don't have the time at the moment, or they just don't know what to say because they don't really know you yet.

Whatever you decide to do, take the challenge or not, I hope everyone has a great day!

I've done so before and I will also do so in the future. I actually do make use of the wall. Bad habit from back on EP in the old days where the wall was on the front of a profile (before the last updates on design, meh). Great idea however, to make people aware about the wall. We do also have the gifts. Don't forget those. Agreed, lovely day for all muggers. Yay!

Super easy. You're talking with the top spender, I think I've reached just below 17,000 credits used. Feel free to ask if any questions. :-)

  • Without wanting to seem churlish, receiving unsolicited compliments makes my flesh crawl. I'd rather be excluded if you don't mind.

Hmm, come to think of it I just gave myself a compliment in assuming that somebody might want to post one on my wall. I shall go and eat humble pie.

So, what's your stance on solicited compliments?

  • I guess if a beautiful young working girl was soliciting on the pavement and a young gentleman told her she was beautiful that would be both a solicited and unsolicited compliment.

The opposite would be solicited compliments, right? As in fishing for compliments.
