Since I have not been here long enough to form one of the lovely Internet perceptions of you, I have been giving your question serious thought and exploring an answer from your username...poetic and heartfull...
Sappho was born around 640 BC, the poetic and mythic caliber of Homer; thus the movie I picked for you is the Coen Bros. rendering of Homer's epic ULYSSES, title O BROTHER WHERE ART THOU (first, however, a touch of the love poetry attributed to Sappho):
love shook my senses like wind crashing on mountain oaks . . . Yet I love the finer things . . . this and passion for the light of life have granted me brilliance and beauty.

Darn legal rights that differs between regions. Could't watch the video clip. I think I managed to look it up on though.
What an thoughtful and wonderful reply. Thank you. You've looked into my screen name which isn't just picked in haste. I had a temporary name in transition from my previous name to this one. I've now had it for over an year, and I identify with it. Sappho, yes... further more it embraces sapphic love. Love and heart goes hand in hand. Love is the one thing I never give up believing in and thus my heart keeps beating and sharing my feelings.
The Sirens, such beautiful but luring creatures. Enchanting creatures with their music and voices. Did you know I once was called enchanting dream by an ex lover? Hmm. I hope I'm not as dangerous as them. Food for thoughts though. Men should better not fall for my music and voice, or they might end up like the shipwrecks of those sailors in the Greek mythology. I love the Greek mythology, so many beautiful and interesting stories.
Hmm. Maybe your choice of pick isn't that far from truth. Thank you so very much for a lovely and fascinating reply. Loved the poem enclosed too.
Dear Sapphic Heart, I do hope you found the video clip...this the sirens is one of many just really wonderful sequences from the movie - when I was lent the DVD, I spent virtually the whole weekend just watching that movie about five times over...
Also in assembling your answer, I checked online for the town of Sappho in Washington State...it's in the temperate rain forest of the Olympic Peninsula, and I always loved it as a child...the town is how I first learned about Sappho herself, curious about that town's name!
No one left in Sappho now since the store burned down in 2004, but in its glory days of timber boom town, there were as many as 20 houses, in addition to the bunkhouses of the logging camps!
So you see why I was so delighted to meet you, who chose such a remarkable username...
I did not know about this Sappho in Washington State. Wow. Thanks letting me know. This is what I love about open questions, you never know what you are going to experience and what new knowledge you will be shared. I got to look this up a little later when I got more time. Right now I am about to go offline. Thank you once more. :-)
