Err no... No comparison at all.

The Berlin wall was built to seal off occupied territory. It was designed to keep people in just as much as keep people out.

East and West Germany were two halves of a former sovereign nation that rightfully belong united. The same can't be said of Mexico and U.S.. They are both sovereign nations that should respect each others sovereignty.

The re-unification of Germany was not President Reagan's agenda.

His goal was freedom of movement.

His goal was to prepare for the Trump reign.  Don't put any medals on Ronnie Rayguns.

    Who said anything about medals?

I'm merely pointing out the irony of how far America has moved ideologically.  From saying "tear down a wall" in order to increase freedom and liberty ... to saying "put up a wall" in order to restrict the same.

Though from what I heard the other day, it's unlikely that a complete wall will ever be built.  Too much of the land is old family "Spanish Land Grants", and virtually impossible for even the government to figure out the family trees.  LOL
