Has anybody on line been awful to you? How did you recover your self-esteem? Did you get revenge?

  • Aw Didge! We've all been through that with people over the years online. I've had my bouts but instead of revenge? I just ignore them. Yes, I easily recovered my self-esteem as I had to just say it's online, not real life. They come and they go but revenge isn't the way to go. Thought about it a few times but never did it. Tain't worth the headache. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at February 24, 2017 7:26 PM MST

  • Not my style either, Rooster. I liked it -- made it my own. It's not everybody who gets a word coined for them. :)

  • I thought didgeophobia was an irrational fear of continuous  droning sounds across open arid regions....Who knew?

  • That too. It's surprising how compelling that sound can be and how it can affect you physically.

  • I left a reply to this yesterday but it's poofed off into the ether. Those droning sounds can be extremely compelling. It's a long story, maybe I'll write it up for my blog.

  • Dear Didge,

Well I am just sad, crestfallen even, that I missed the Didgeophobia episode on Ask.com, and grateful you archived it...one of the Ask classics...

  • Actually it was so long ago that it was dozyphobia but nobody here would have known that I was Dozy so I updated it a little. It still had the same meaning, though. I thought it was kind of snappy. :)

No. But I have had to take a break from because of types of questions and implications before.
