  • They're the perfect example of unconditional love.  They don't care what we look like, how much money we have or if we forget their birthdays.  All they ask is that we love them and they can love us in return.

  • Well, I didn't mean you, Ozgirl. Clearly those beasts require your services on demand. But I'll bet they give you a lot back in return. :)

I love my pets because they earn their keep with no complaints - our cat keeps  the mice away and our dog protects our stuff. I also love them because there good friends. Cheers!

  • Hi Dozy,

It is because life among our own kind is just too brutal too savage...our pets can keep us going through the intolerable, the unbearable.

Indeed, it's nice to come home after a rough day at work and cuddle with my guinea pig or my rat and just relax. They make a bad day much better just by being there and willing to chill out with me. This post was edited by Patchouli at February 28, 2017 9:28 PM MST

Your pet can even see you nude and it won't judge you.

How do you know? Sometimes I wonder what my dog thinks when she just stares at my nakedness..
For all I know she could be gossiping with all the other dogs of the neighborhood.

  • I'm not sure about that at least in my case.  The dog sometimes wanders into the bathroom and stares longer than I think is necessary.  It's probably a good job I don't know what she's thinking.

They make great little friends for lonely losers like me. I have hearing issues and it makes it hard for me to socialize with people and they don't seem to give me a chance, but atleast my furry little friends don't care. I don't feel so insecure about it with my pets because they don't even talk anyway and they don't have to speak for me to know what they want.

  • They certainly have their own way of telling us what they want. My little dog can practically talk. She gets exasperated with me if I don't understand quickly enough.
