I like vodka/caviar, I'll pass on the borscht.  What I really don't like is the game of Russian roulette Trump is playing with our Democracy.  His gun is loaded with many more than one bullet as he points/fires it at Democracy, having a much better chance of getting rid of same. Hi Rosie:

You sound just as afraid of outsiders as Trump and Co. How ironic!

  • Hi StuB - you know you and I agree on practically everything ever :P I would have to say that expressing a very valid concern about the Russians influence and motives, logically does not translate automatically into a fear of outsiders...

Of course being frightened of refugees and immigrants and Muslims is hunky dorry. Being wary of a known murderer despot Dictator is not okay. I accept that you think very differently from me StuB. If you cannot see the difference here that is your right and privilege. Call me any name you wish. I've been called worse than "afraid". If it comforts you to do that be my guest. You disappoint me however but perhaps that is payback for my disappointing you. Whatever. Thank  you for your reply and Happy Wednesday StuB! :)

    It didn't start with Trump.

It's all the fans of the TV series "The Americans".

  • I'll just take the vodka if I may :P  But yes, it's not really funny, it's worrying and btw stating that one is concerned with the Russian's influence and motives is NOT the same as being afraid of outsiders.

That is what is so curiously weird about these times DdbTD. The flood of American defenders for Trump, Putin, Russia. They have already been  Russianized apparently and have no problem with it.  Different strokes. Thank you for your as-always logical and responsive reply! I can always count on you to focus on the point of my questions and answer them. Not so with some others as you can see on this thread. SIGH. Well you win some and you lose some! :)
