Just for the sake of the discussion, ima take your idea one step further... Without imagination, there would be no TRUTH either...
"There are stories, fables, allegories and legends where fabulous events are described that have never happened and never will happen and yet which are true because they show where the highest truth can be found." ~ Leo Tolstoy
I'm not there with you m'dear. If I am thirsty I pour a glass of water and drink it. That is truth and reality and has nothing to do with creativity or imagination. But I'm going to try to get where you are. Right now it makes no sense to me at all. I'm not saying it makes no sense. I'm saying "to me". That doesn't mean it never will. Thank you for your reply Virginia and Happy Wednesday! :)
T'is a distinct possibility! Life without imagination is like a film noir. To be sure the genre has its advantages. One is not distracted by color. It is more dramatic/gritty. Imagine Citizen Kane colorized. You dare not. On the other hand what would "Singin' in the Rain", "The Sound of Music" or "An American In Paris" be in black and white? Each photo deserves a suitable frame. I like choices. I like to be the one who makes them for me. I'll take all of them please and thank you! I don't want anyone deciding anything for me. I want options! :)
