I think if they repeal it, it won't be replaced - certainly not by a Republican administration.

They are at the place where the sh** hits the fan and they are frozen/petrified/immobilized. They are at the point of  DOING and they have no plan! Aren't they a pathetically sad group of freeloaders?  Doing nothing. Complaining 24/7. Taking their paychecks anyway? Thank you for your reply Spunky and Happy Thursday! :)

Happy Thursday, Rosie. :)  I agree with you.  They ******* and moaned for eight years and when it came time to put their money where their mouths are, they punked out. This post was edited by my2cents at March 4, 2017 8:24 AM MST

They are scared sh**less. In the spotlight. On display. They know they have to put up or shut up and they can't do the former.  This is a comedy of the highest order. They are ridiculous aren't they? Hiding behind closed doors. Locking up the supposed replacement legislation. Theatrical blokes. Drama Queens the lot of them! SIGH. Thank you for your reply Spunky and Happy Saturday! :)

The GOP and the Democrats are equally untrustworthy and neither party has the American people at heart.  Today's Twitterblast complains that Obama bugged Trump's phones.  The man is mentally ill.  I just wonder how long it will take for his party to realize just how sick he is.  Happy Saturday to you. :)

The AHCA was created during Democratic reign Spunky. What was untrustworthy about that?  Democrats are the proponents of social welfare programs to HELP the American people,  fight for civil rights. The Republicans are already gutting social service programs or hoping to eliminate them altogether.. So exactly and specific what is it vis a vis the welfare of the American people that you find untrustworthy in Democrats? I'm not saying they're perfect angels but "equally untrustworthy"? Seriously? If you truly believe that then we certainly disagree tremendously. Thank you for your reply and Happy Sunday! :)

I am vehemently opposed to the Democrats passing a bill that was not read by all parties.  For Nancy Pelosi to say that the bill had to be passed for us to know what was in it is flat out wrong.  I am vehemently opposed to legislation which requires Americans to buy health insurance.  That is a matter that should be decided by each individual, not mandated by the government.  The fact that it was proposed to the SCOTUS as a "tax" in order for them to rule it legal was disingenuous to say the least.  It is clear that the AHCA has not solved the problems for which it was intended.  There are people who preferred to pay the penalty rather than be forced to buy insurance.  Health costs have risen since the passage of AHCA.  Insurance companies have removed themselves from the exchanges thereby giving purchasers fewer choices.  And still there are millions of people without coverage.

So we disagree. So what?  If people aren't forced to get insurance and they face major medical bills who pays for it? We the people do because they are too cheap or so certain they will always stay healthy they think it isn't necessary for them. Then something monumentally terrible happens. If they are responsible and accountable for themselves they will have insurance. If not we get screwed again. Now do you object to mandatory driver's insurance? If not then aren't you being very selective about what you think is a good and what you think is a bad? Different strokes Spunky. If people are not astute/responsible enough to protect and take care of themselves I think being helped is a good thing. You don't. It's okay. Thank you for your reply and Happy Tuesday!  :)

There is a difference between health insurance and car insurance. I can choose not to drive. OC requires me to buy a product just because I am alive.

Yes, we shall agree to disagree.  I believe in mandatory car insurance because the possibilities of injuried, property damage and loss of life is greater when operating a motor vehicle than it is if you don't have health insurance.  Yes, if someone is not insured and they get sick and can't pay for it, we do cover the cost, but we would not be liable for coss above what it takes to make that person well.  In truth, for those who cannot afford health insurane either under Obamacare of Trumpcare, they will have tax credits allowed.  Under Obamacare, he gave low income persons subsidies to pay for health insurance.  Where do you think those payments come from? Us.  It appeared that under Obamacare, there were not appreciably fewer visits to the ERs than before it.  We cover those costs.  Happy Tuesday. :)

    Hello Rosie:

The Republicans have NO IDEA how to replace Obamacare WITHOUT taking away health insurance from 20 million people..  They THOUGHT they could DO that.  They THOUGHT nobody was looking..

They were WRONG!  The people NOTICED and took to the streets to STOP 'em..

I believe they FINALLY realize that we the people WANT it. INCLUDING MANY MILLIONS OF THEIR CONSTITUENTS! YES. REUPUBLICANS WANT IT!  They are boxed in and have nothing. They've had how many years to come up with something? They're inept/ignorant/impotent. I mean if it takes all those years for them to come up with squat how would you read it? Thank you for your reply excon and Happy Wednesday! :)

  • Something needs to be done soon. Here in Tennessee, one county is about to lose Humana, and that's their ONLY choice for ACA coverage. Humana is pulling out of the market and that will leave a LOT of people in Knoxville without insurance.

That's terrible Karen. It's long past time for them to put up or shut up. For years they've been bellowing about how awful the AHCA is and how they would repeal and replace and everything would be better for everyone. So far they got NUTHIN'! They never thought Doofus Donny would win so they never thought they would ACTUALLY have to produce a health plan! Surprise surprise surprise! Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday!  :)

They have had 8 years m2c! They never thought they'd win the White House. They thought Hillary would. They never thought they would have to produce a health plan. Surprise! They were caught with their pants down so to speak. Now they have to produce and what do they do? Hide behind closed doors. Lock up the supposed plan. Rand Paul wanted to read it . He was prevented from  accessing it. I suppose you can find a justification for that too.  The sh** has hit the fan and they're all scrambling like crazy. Drama queens. Stay tuned. Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday m'dear! :)

Are you surprised that the establishment (both sides) did not believe Trump would win? Of course they were surprised they were defeated.

Rand Paul has one of the plans himself.....one of the 9 plans. They just have iron out the details. Starting votes are planned for next week...with final votes in April....for Congress that is extremely fast. Trump is kicking their butts in gear. Hello again, my:

First off, IF the plan is sooooo good, WHY are they hiding it?  I don't think they're hiding it from people like Rosie and me..  I think they're hiding it from people like YOU.  That's because they're gonna pass Obamacare Light, call it Trumpcare, and shove it down YOUR throats..

Why?  Because they're gonna KEEP the nuts and bolts of Obamacare INCLUDING the hated mandate.  Oh, they'll call the subsidies tax credits, and the mandate a fine, but that's window dressing...
