I'm guessing you're talking about makeup. I wear very neutral shades always. The last thing I want to look like at my age (or any age) is something that escaped from the circus. I think the clown shoes are enough of a fashion statement.

I dress as modestly as my makeup. After a certain age, you look ridiculous in some of the "fashion" trends of the day. Spandex and crop tops are not for everyone.
Beauty trends are different for everyone. Some think that tattoos and body piercings all over their body is a form of beauty. At my age now just looking decent so I don't scare people works for me.
