How do you feel about the EU parliament's eye for an eye response to U.S travel bans?

It seeks to limit U.S citizen travel through Europe in response to the U.S banning travel of individuals into the U.S from countries on a list of those promoting terrorism. With the immigrant problems they have been having perhaps it is difficult to lead by example.

    Hello O:

Isn't "eye for an eye" Trumps favorite bible quote???  It IS, isn't it??  Does he mean WE have the right to take an eye, but NOBODY else does???  That's CRAZY thinking..  It's the kind of thinking that starts WARS.

So, its everyone else's as well? Does it justify him or them? You see how it may never end and why tis not promoted in the New Testament. This post was edited by O-uknow at March 3, 2017 10:08 AM MST

    Hello again, O:

First off, the travel ban doesn't DO what Trump says it will do..  It's BOGUS..  That's not me saying so, or MSNBC saying so..  It's the Department of Homeland Security...

So, if you're talking about a policy that MAKES NO SENSE WHATSOEVER, and Trump is COMMITTED to it in ANY case, MAYBE he'll see the folly of his ways if that policy is turned on HIM..

  • It's just as stupid as Trumps travel ban.  Maybe more since it's meant to be a bully.  However,  I don't care because it has little effect on me and they have the right to ban anyone they don't want. Any nation does and should.

Yeah, they can do what they want. It's just annoying how they seem to think they're morally superior then go and play the same game.

  • I'm not for Trump's travel ban at all but at the same time oppose this concept that  nations have an obligation to take people in as a rule.  I honestly don't get the logic or virtue in it.   Who is to say how many and who one country should have to take in besides the country alone?  Governments only job and focus is to do what's best for it's citizens, nobody else.

  • Hey, if it will protect them from US terrorists attacking them then ban us. It will hurt their tourism economy and I think it would be an idle threat as they will come back to thinking about the bucks they would lose, and that is what drives the World.

I don't care. It is their country they can make whatever rules/laws they want about Immigration and travel. So can we and every other country.

  • Requiring Americans to apply for visas is an understandable reaction but foolish. Tourism is too important to the European economy to make it harder for people to visit.

At present it's not much more than rhetoric. I doubt if it will become law.
