What do you think about tattooed messages?

What sort of word, name, or message would you find appropriate?
What would you do if the tattooist misspelled a word?
What would Randy D do?

  • In general I find tattoo somewhat off putting, especially the neck and face. Snippets form poems or quotes are even less appealing that pictorial tattoos.  I had a coworker who had "Carpe Diem" tattooed on his back, spelled incorrectly. • Damn, Whistle. That Randy D is never there when you need him.
And, yeah, like you I would find pictorial more attractive than text.

I don't think anything. If you want it, do it, but if you get it wrong, it's all on you.

  • It'd be difficult to get any errors fixed. Might make it worse.

  • I have a tattooed message that has meaning only to me and it's not visible to anyone unless I choose to show it. I'm not a big fan of the long messages that some people tattoo on visible parts of their bodies. You have to stare to read them and that can get kind of embarrassing.

  • I shy away from them for the same reason. I just would be comfortable staring at somebody long enough to do that. On the other hand, if it was on an interesting part of the anatomy I might be tempted. >:-)
