That is so true that I am sure Lincoln did not invent it.

He may have said it, but that is TRUTH so it probably hails back to the first family.  Because you cannot have a family making harmonious, positive choices when there is a rotten apple in the mix.  You certainly cannot have a nation so divided by hatred and confusion and mistrust that we cannot even decide who to vote for past What Liar is the Least Liar?

The more negative the element, the greater the disease that is being spread throughout the planet.   We are all connected and we cannot hide that TRUTH any longer.    What I do today has a ripple effect that is certainly very  subtle, and yet it can cause either love to flourish or mayhem to ensue.  All I have to do is effect the next person around me with either.   So, I can affect or infect my positive or negative energy and so on and so on and so on.

Not sure we could give Abe credit for the one. He was only rewording and repeating the Bible.

"But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?"

    Matthew 12:24-26

Well, if that is true, how come we have been getting along regardless of our political parties?  Of course, Abe was talking about the North/South situation.

He only capitalized the first word; it wasn't a newspaper headline.

Lincoln perceived that to be the truth. He should of added "A house that doesn't do their job, doesn't deserve a paycheck". Could you imagine if Lincoln jumped in a time machine and saw how those lazy confused do nothing corrupt SOB's are today.

I think all Pols should be paid by piecework. If and only if they accomplish something do they get paid. Otherwise  it is just welfare . They are all on the dole at taxpayer expense. Thank you for your reply BSurf.
