  • Yes.  But I suspect many of us have had the experience of wanting something badly, working hard to get it and get only disappointment and frustration because the item did not meet our expectations.

  • Anticipation is part of the pleasure; possession completes the deal. If we don't proceed to obsolescence (like this blasted HP I'm typing on) then ownership trumps anticipation.

    (I am now anticipating the day when the thing self-destructs and I can buy another.)
