What's your home environment like?

Do you live in a city, town, rural area, wilderness, seaside? If you had the opportunity to move, would you go? Where to?

I live in a smallish seaside resort town, Didge.  What about you?

  • Sounds nice. I live on a hilltop in the Blue Mountains, about 60 km west of  Sydney. We're actally located in the middle of a national park.

That sounds great.  I have to travel about 10 hours to be in the mountains.

  • And we're only 90 minutes from the coast. We're pretty lucky.

  • Hi Dozy,
About 75 mile inland from the Pacific raincoast of Washington State, there are some remnants of warmer, drier prairies...and that is where Tenino sits. Wild violets cover the prairies in springtime, and I used to go out and harvest them for violet jam!

  • Lovely. We have a fringed violet in our area. They're very thin on the ground and hard to find, bt there were a few growing where we used to walk the dog.

  • Exquisite, I have not seen it before!
Do you know if they are edible?

  • I've never heard of anyone eating them though I don't think there'd be a problem using them as a garnish.

  • I have a nice house in a rural area that's pretty quiet but looking to buy this wonderful house near the American river at Sailor's Bar.
It's nice where I live now but I just love this other house and it has more property and seclusion.

  • Rooster, I do not know Sailor's Bar, but oh I love the American River...from rafting there, way back in 1967! Wishing you a wonderful move.

We live just outside of town. We can sit on either the front or back and only see woods. But we are on five minutes from town. Walmart, work, etc. The best of both worlds.
