Mrs Didge is our resident gardener. She loves it. I usually only get called in to mow the grass and get rid of wasps' nests (of which there are many). She has an allergy to wasp and bee stings.
I make my living gardening (residential grounds keeper) and on my days off gardening is pretty much all I do. Harvesting my potatoes is my favorite chore - only get to do it once a year but I always look forward to it (I get a couple hundred pounds a year). Not sure if I have a least favorite chore it's all good to me. Cheers!
Not now but we did have a lovely garden, my Papa had brought coconut saplings from Andaman and Nicobar islands and planted 8 of them around our house, it is still there, huge trees and we distribute the coconuts to neighbors too. You might know coconut is important part of Indian cuisine.
Yes Didge, my Papa cared for them like his children...the trees stand a mute spectator to our growing up....it provides a lot of shade, I remember sitting under the tree and composing poems in summer and reading for my exams listening to the cuckoo cooing ....those were the days;))
