Just yesterday an Answermugger told me that wall was very important to her! That was one of the reasons why she voted for him. I think she doesn't even care that the US taxpayers will be on the hook for it. What I wonder is IF it will ever even be started? Thank you for your reply PeaPod and Happy Wednesday! :)
I can think of a thousand things I would love to see that kind of money go towards. Imagine what we could do for veterans, the homeless, the working poor, the elderly. With that kind of money, we could do a better job with our borders and screening who comes in. I am not against that. But I also know that a physical wall is not going to solve even a fraction of the problems that we face here in our own country.
Exactly. Time will tell how many things he promised to get elected that he never follows through on. I think it will be everything. I think bottom line they voted for him. They wanted him. They don't care if he lies or breaks all his promises. They are just happy having him. Go figger! Thank you for your reply PeaPod! :)
What I am hoping for, is that the Dems learned a hard lesson about their own constituents. I am hoping by 2020, there will be a drastic change in how the majority votes and this time, it will be enough to win the electoral college as well.
See I think we are beginning to see.. or those of us capable of seeing are seeing, that the man is all talk and no action. He rants a good fight but it's all bluster...

A goodly part of the US/Mexican border is the Rio Grande. If he builds a wall on the US side of it, many American farmers can't use it for irrigation (that river is their livelihood). Building on the Mexican side is technically invasion, wars have started over less. Building ON it is obviously impossible. His Royal Orangeness clearly didn't think this through, why is anybody surprised?

There you go again! Telling me American-related stuff I didn't know! Well thank you for THAT information Sbf. Wow! How idiotic is that anyway? How come NO ONE HERE in the states considered any of that? I just wish your complete answer could be printed in ALL US newspapers verbatim! I do. It's just too beyootiful and perfect! Let's see what happens next. I think many Trump voters voted for him SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE of that dam* promise of a wall. They don't even care that they are gonna hafta pay for it! Congress has to do their job and fund the projects. President Trump has done his part. Dems in Senate need to quit stalling on Trump appointments and get to work.
I remember a comment from a Trump supporters to an interviewer's question who said that Trump may not build and actually "wall," but at least he was confident that he would somehow do a good job protecting our southern border.
I also read recently that there are 200 contractors submitting construction bids, but I did not delve deeper into the story.
