    My son-in-law gave me two nice deer roasts. Jerky was excellent. My brother, an avid bird hunter, sent me some duck and goose jerky. Nobody else liked it so it is all mine.

  • Yep! I like jerky! I've dated deer and Turkey jerky (lol) but beef is my favorite. But I only like the way I make it, don't like sweet or speciality flavored jerky.

    I'm in the same boat as Rooster & Angela.  Although I don't eat it that often, I like beef jerky.  I've also eaten turkey, elk, moose, & venison Jerkies.

    Not much money when I was growing up in the 1950's, venison from hunting was the most common meat, and yes people did jerk it.
    I have always had trouble eating meat, and jerky is easier to take because of the salt/smoke flavour, which disguises the animal origin.

    I love beef jerky, but deer jerky is my favorite even though it's hard to find here. I've also had turkey jerky, but it was too salty for my taste.

  • Beef jerky is okay, though I prefer teriyaki beef sticks :) Never tried any other kind of jerky.
